Coordinators meeting in Joensuu, May 2018

During 23rd-26th of May 2018 we had the last Coordinators’ meeting in Joensuu. The six coordinators of the project -three from both schools- had the help of the expert Laura Mäki in order to prepare the final report.

First we analized all the work done during these two school years and checked that they appear clearly in our blog: activities focused on students exchanges (project outcomes) and others made all over the school year with our school communities (on-going activities).

We checked that everything is well explained in our blog and shared the work that must be done by the end of June, so we can send the final report by the beginning of September.

Then we answered a questionnaire about the strengths and weak points of the experience. All the coordinators took part in the debate and we got many interesting points of views about the whole project. Everything was accurately written up and there was a high level of agreement on most of the topics.

We also agreed that the project has been very demanding and has supposed a lot of work for the teachers involved in it, so we decided to make a stop for the next year. Anyway, the links between both schools is a reality and we didn’t close any door for future projects.

Not everything was work. We also had the great chance to enjoy the experience of sauna and cold water in the lake surrounding Joensuu, and also got to know the activities in the rapids of Ruunaa, near the town of Lieksa. An unforgettable experience! Thanks a lot, Sari, Pauliina and Anu!
